God gave each member of the body of Christ a gift to build up the church. Whatever your gift is, you should use it to serve and encourage the church. As Christians we are to make our bodies living sacrifices, Holy and acceptable to God; this is our reasonable service unto God. There are other gifts that God has given to the church, but each member has a different gift, yet we are all of the same office. Therefore, as Christian brothers and sisters, we are to gather together and share our faith in the Lord; to celebrate the faithfulness of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.
As members of the body of Christ, we are to honor the Elders and Deacons who operate in their gifts of teaching & Preaching the word of God; honor them for feeding Gods people the word of God. Christians should trust in the message that is taught and believe in sound doctrine, so that you may encourage others to believe and not oppose God’s word. Apostle Paul admonishes those who are overseers to watch over themselves and the flock. We are Sheppard’s of the church of God, which Jesus brought with His own blood (Acts 20:28). Apostle Paul showed us an example of fellowship through his relationship with other believers (Acts 20:31).
Understanding that the end is near, as Christians we should develop relationships with other fellow Christians, sharing caring and comforting one another. Apostle Paul admonishes us to be careful of those even in your own members who will stray away from the truth, but stay committed to God and his grace, and those who are sanctified (Acts 20:32). Also fellow Christians should obey your leaders and those who have rule over you. Submit to their authority, obey your leaders so that their work will be a joy and not a burden (Hebrews 13:17).
Christ ascended on high leaving gifts for men so that we will build up the church, until we are mature Christians working together, supporting one another in the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-13). We are to obey the command of the Lord and write them on our door post, teach them to our children. Our children should obey their parents, and not provoke them; also parents should not provoke their children as well (Ephesians 6:1-4). We are to carefully obey the Lords commandments, and no man shall stand against us; as the Lord promised. If we obey the Lord He will set before his children a blessing. However, if we shall disobey the Lord, there shall be a curse (Deuteronomy 6:1-9).
Children of God, we shall not take God’s discipline for granted. God prepares us for Himself. He also disciplines us as His sons because He loves us, and so that we may share in His holiness (Hebrews 12:10).
