Ian Somerhalder did quite a few interviews at Comic Con last weekend and gave us quite a few quirks and spoilers concerning the Vampire Diaries season five.
In the ClevverTV interview Ian was asked if Damon and Elena are going to be happy now that she chose him over Stefen, he felt that Damon is ecstatic because he finally got the girl, but things can’t go smooth for too long a time because there is no conflict and in Mystic Falls ‘No one is happy for too long’.
Another point Ian made is that he still had blood on him from Stefen. They had been shooting until 6:30 in the morning and he had immediately boarded a plane to get to Comic Con. Is this an omen about how things are going to be this season- they just started filming last week. Nina Dobrev also had blood on her and was concerned about getting through security. What went on during filming lol.
Things are gong to be very different for Kathryn now that she is human and can’t compel what she wants anymore whether its clothing or food or making people do things. The Vampire Diaries panel was talking about some line concerning green slime. Caroline Dries, one of the writer remembered that she gets a cold and she has green slime and she is so embarrassed by that. Yuck.
In the TV Addict interview, Ian Somerhalder was asked about Jeremy moving into the Salvatore boarding house. Ian in his very polite Ian way corrected the interviewer that ‘It is not really a boarding house…..it’s just a mansion.’ ‘He’s living there and Damon’s-getting him ready for school cutting the crust off his PBJ’s for him.’ He was joking with Julie Plec ‘When Elena comes back from college there will be game rooms and rooms with stripper poles in them. It should be interesting dynamic because Damon’s 172 and Jeremy’s 18.”
He was asked now that Elena chose him how does that affect the relationship with his brother He answered ‘There is no relationship with Stefen Stefen’s gone…One thing that is very interesting about it by virtue of the fact that Stefen is gone and Silas is here changes the dynamics of the show.’
Another thing he talked about is that the show is going to be dialed down in color. It will be a lot darker as it was in the beginning and there will be not many things blowing up in each episode, but more interaction between the characters.
It sounds like Season Five has the potential for being one of the best seasons.
