Good day and Laissez Faire! Yes, my friends I have returned to my post at the Examiner after a long hiatus. To those who have known me from before, you will see in the coming weeks a new writer, fresh from two years of hard literary refining and intensive intellectual development. I have been working on my graduate studies at George Mason University and, during that time, I have read extensively and have come to reevaluate my positions in politics from the classical liberalism of Hayek to the Agorist philosophy of Sam Konkin. I have also been on hiatus due to a series of writing gigs that have helped me refine my style and diction. Gone are the days of clunky clauses and shallow content. I have now the skills to produce some really good articles for you all. Things have certainly changed since last we spoke. We continue to face daunting challenges from the forces of progressivism, on both the right and left, who conspire to undermine our natural liberties, which we each as individuals hold very dear. I shall endeavor henceforth to keep the flame of freedom maintained to the best of my ability. I will be writing at least once a week to keep you all informed and carry on our glorious cause but the format shall be different. I have since identified that people are devoted to ideas and principles and that is what shall be my central thesis in each and everyone of my articles going forward. This I swear to you as your humble correspondent.
I think it best to start by discussing the elephant in the living room that nobody mentions, the looming issues of fiscal insolvency and the disturbing damages to our civil liberties. I shall strive to make sense of these very complex issues and show that we ourselves can, once again, take the power back and give it to the citizenry once more. Yet, I have a sense that some will not like what I have to say. I wish it to be known that your voice is welcome here and we may not always agree. As such, I want this to be an open place of frank discussion and I look forward to your thoughts. I only ask that we keep this at least somewhat civil. Let us demonstrate our self control for the sake of honest discussion and debate. To the trolls out there, if you initiate it, you will be met with equal vitriol. I will call you out and I will respond to your insults with the corresponding retorts. I have a big vocabulary and a sharp wit and I know how to use it. So, consider yourselves warned. My message is simple: power to the people and give peace a chance. (Thank you to Sen. Mike Gravel for the inspiration)
With that, I must bid you all adieu as I prepare my content. I think we are going to have an enlightening year. I hope you all enjoy it.
