If you are traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort you are likely considering the best way to keep your costs reasonable and still enjoy a fabulous time. The expense of a Disney vacation can vary wildly depending on which resort hotel and ticket options you choose and how you plan to handle meal time in The World.
While it’s true you are allowed to pack your lunch and lug it into any of Disney’s theme parks (no glass containers or hard sided coolers allowed though!), much of the experience of a Disney vacation takes place during meal times. With more than 139 restaurants with offerings from a quick service hamburger to a perfectly prepared filet, you definitely want to take advantage of the fabulous dining options!
One of the simplest and often most cost effective option to manage mealtime expenses is to purchase a Disney Dining Plan. The Mouse offers three separate plans – a Quick Service plan, the Plus Dining plan, and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. By thinking about how your family likes to eat while on vacation you can choose the Dining Plan that’s perfect for you!
If you prefer to eat on the run while running from attraction to attraction, you might want to consider the Quick Service Dining Plan. With this plan you receive 2 quick service meals and 1 snack for each night of your stay. And don’t think that this means you will be relegated to eating hot dogs and burgers for a week either! There is a large variety of food available at Disney’s quick service dining locations everything from roasted chicken and ribs to pizza to tasty salads and so much more!
Prefer a mix of table service and quick service dining options? By choosing the Plus Dining plan you get 1 quick service meal, 1 table service, and 1 snack for each night of your stay. This gives you the flexibility to enjoy a quick service meal while you are running around the theme parks and also time for you to stop and enjoy a tasty sit down meal with your family.
For those of you who prefer mostly table service meals and even some fine dining experiences or dinner shows, the right choice might be the Deluxe Dining Plan. With this plan you get 3 meal credits and 2 snacks each night of your stay. You can use your credits at either a quick service location or a table service meal – whatever strikes your fancy!
