June is National Adopt-A-Cat Month. In celebration of this special month, we are featuring an adoptable cat each day of June. Today, we interviewed Big Jack, an adoptable cat from Almost Home Foundation
Q: Jack I understand you once had a home. Can you tell us what happened?
A: I really don’t know what happened. One day, my mom put me in a carrier- I thought I was going to a vet. Instead, I ended up with this young lady that I did not know. I was with this girl for a couple of months, and then she started bringing me to a pet store once a week. One day she brought me to the pet store and never came back.
Q: How did you end up at your foster home?
A: When my foster mom heard about me, she came forward. She said she would give me a temporary home until a forever home could be found.
Q: And how long have you been with your foster mom?
A: For a couple of years now. At first, I was very scared. Was I going to be here for a day and then move? Where would I be going next? My foster mom is a really nice lady. She had a lot of patience with me. It took me a very long time to feel safe here.
Q. And now?
A. I like it here. I have kitty friends too. Still, I hope someday I will have a home of my very own.
Q. Jack, what do you imagine your forever home will be like?
A: My forever home would feel like home. I would feel loved and wanted. There would be no fear about where I would be going next, and if my family would leave me.
Jack, we hope you find your forever home soon.
