A kindgergarten brawl broke out at Michael R. White Elementary School in Cleveland, Ohio. Of all things, two teenage girls started the fight by hitting each other, USA Today reports May 31. Soon their family got involved. A hammer and a pipe were used even used in the kindergarten brawl as young children were graduating from the school.
Cleveland police Cmdr. Wayne Drummond confirmed that minors and adults were in the kindergarten brawl.
“You had adults fighting adults, juvies fighting juvies, and so forth,” Drummond said. “You just had a melee here.”
No one was reportedly hurt in the disruptive incident.
Those who were arrested will be booked on aggravated rioting after prosecutors review their case.
What started the kindergarten fight was apparently over spilled punch. Everything got out of hand at that point. No one seemed to consider the fact they were at a children’s event and parents were there to see their youngsters graduate.
At least 10 patrol cars were at the school after they got a call about the kindergarten brawl. Drummond described it as “chaotic scene.”
“It is embarrassing that parents during a kindergarten promotion cannot control themselves, and what we tried to do was respond significantly,” he said.
Evidently the people involved were unable to control their anger. For the sake of the elementary students and their families, one would think they would have done a better job reining in their violent outburst.
This kindergarten brawl something that could have totally been avoided.
