Male and female actors of a variety of ages and types are invited to audition for roles in The Laboratory Theater of Florida’s 2013-2014 show season. Auditions will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 15 at the theater, which is located at 1634 Woodford Avenue, Fort Myers.
The Laboratory Theater asks actors to come to the audition with a comedic and a dramatic monologue, as well as a headshot and resume. Auditioning with a monologue allows directors to evaluate an actor’s skill after preparation, but if you do not have one prepared, the Laboratory Theater invites you to come to the audition anyway and either a monologue will be assigned upon your arrival or you may be asked to read instead from a script.
Auditionees will be seen in the order of their arrival and may also be asked to read from sides.
Roles are being cast in Amadeus, Miss Witherspoon, Frankie & Johnnie in the Clair de Lune, A Christmas Carole, Death of a Salesman. Altruists, The Graduate and Glengarry Glen Ross. To view the characters and parameters of each role, please visit www.laboratorytheaterflorida.org.
For interested actors unable to attend auditions, please send a headshot and resume at any time to: The Laboratory Theater of Florida, attn: Casting, PO Box 334, Fort Myers, FL 33902.
