As the summer season approaches ever so quickly, Walt Disney World’s newest addition opens with perfect timing for those vacationing during Florida’s hottest months! A gourmet ice cream parlor called L’Artisan des Glaces located in the France Pavilion of Epcot’s World Showcase welcomed its first patrons this week. The shop can be found along a quaint Parisian-themed street tucked between Monsieur Paul Restaurant and the newly opened Les Halles Boulangerie and Patisserie. The current hours are listed as 12 noon until 9 pm.
With a French countryside style, the farmhouse decor and pastel shades are welcoming amid the shop that has plenty of room to view the freezer cases that hold the in-house made ice cream and sorbet delights.
There are 10 flavor varieties of ice cream:
- Mint Chocolate
- Caramel fleur de sel
- Coco-White Chocolate
And 6 flavors of sorbets are offered:
- Mixed Berries
Scoops may be served in a waffle cone or cup at a cost of $3.99 for 1 scoop or $6.10 for 2 scoops. Also available for an indulgent, adults only treat are 2 scoops of ice cream or sorbet served in a martini glass with a shot of Grand Marnier, Whipped Cream Vodka, or Rum at a cost of $11.50.
