Oh yeah, … and one more mystery former contestant that will be voted in by “Project Runway” fans, via mylifetime.com. The returned contestant is dubbed “Runway Redemption”. Sound familiar, well it should, “Project Runway” Season 9 former contestant Rafael Cox completed his inaugural solo designer fashion show on February 21, 2013, at the Defoors Centre, in Atlanta, Georgia, entitled, “Rafael Cox Designs presents Redemption”. The event was hosted by DJ Traci Steele of Hot 107.9 and reality series actress on VH1’s “Love and Hip Hop” (whose cast were actually there taping for the show). Could it be a coincidence or is Atlanta’s very own Rafael Cox the mystery former contestant?
We will just have to wait and see.
In the meantime, Lifetime has provided some great spoilers.
This year, Lifetime’s “Project Runway” is including even more fan-interaction by hosting a “Super Fan Contest” in which seven “super fans” will be chosen, via video submissions, to be featured in an upcoming episode, during “Project Runway” Season 12, for a fashion makeover.
And if that weren’t enough to get fans in a frenzy awaiting the “Project Runway” Season 12 premiere, scheduled for July 18, 2013, then maybe the answer to their cry for more Tim Gunn will be the ticket.
Tim Gunn, for the first time, will sit with the judges during the runway show, answer questions regarding construction/workroom experiences and allow for judges to physically get up close and personal to examine the garments. Best yet, Tim Gunn will actually be able to “save” one contest from being sent home packing, with Heidi Klum’s famous double cheek kiss and bids of “Alvidazen”.
I’ll be happy to see how Tim Gunn interacts with the judges, in front of the contestants. In the past there have been several moments when Tim Gunn’s perspective has been contrary to the judges. I enjoy reading Tim Gunn’s column, Gunn Laws, in Marie Claire magazine.
Countdown to Lifetime’s “Project Runway” Season 12 begins now!
