A new development progress update has been posted in regards to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.” According to a report from the NeoGAF forum on May 29, the role-playing game is currently 70 percent complete. Square Enix recently confirmed that “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII” will be released later this autumn season for the aforementioned Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms. The third and final game to the trilogy features several big alterations such as having Lightning as the only main playable character, more interactive environments in addition to adding more maneuverability during combat. Square Enix 1st Production Department is handling the development of “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII” while Square Enix will be responsible for publishing and releasing the video game.
