In open court Wednesday morning, the judge presiding over Lindsay Lohan’s hearing decided that additional therapy is necessary in order to avoid relapse once she is released from the rehabilitation center she’s been staying at for weeks now. The facility sent judge Dabney a letter stating that if monitored therapy sessions were not required, Lindsay was sure to relapse once she is left to her own devices.
According to TMZ, the letter to the judge was written by Richard Taite, the CEO and founder of the rehab facility Lindsay has been staying in. Seeing as how the judge ordered Lindsay to attend three 50-minute sessions of therapy each week for the next 16 months, he seems to agree with Mr. Taite. The judge also took heed to the rehab founder’s advice and stipulated a requirement that LiLo prove she is complying with orders.
Hopefully this means that the judge won’t just take her word for it. She doesn’t have a great track record committing to these things, so it will be interesting to see whether she ends up back in jail, in rehab, or if she can actually stay out of trouble and on the right track this time. Only time will tell, and there is no doubt that the world will be watching.
