‘Look at Me’ artist and creative director of British GQ, Paul Solomons, who often works with celebrities, explains his collaboration with Simon Emmett that is on view in the showing as pushing beyond expected ideals of fashion and beauty: “With this project we have laid bare the constraints of working to often diluted creative direction and obvious subject matter…we are trying to push what is acceptable as beautiful. We want the viewer to look and keep looking and appreciate the work for its result rather than its subject matter.”
Simon Emmett, known for celebrity portraits and beauty photographs, and, Paul Solomons, graphic designer and creative director of GQ Magazine, capitalized on their expertise in the world of fashion and make you step back, take a look and feel the beauty of the art.
