Memorial Day weekend is upon us, a time to honor our nation’s veterans, those that have served our country and made it possible for Americans to have more freedom than most others.

In a report from USA Today on May 23, more families will be staying right home for a “staycation” over the Memorial Day holiday. Rising gas prices and additional fees added to airline tickets reportedly are to blame for the reduction of travel for Memorial Day.
