“NCIS” season 11 is going to have to say goodbye to someone who has been part of the team for years now when Cote de Pablo’s Ziva leaves in the beginning, and on Tuesday, July 30, TV Guide posted new spoilers about her exit.
As season 10 ended, the team resigned and took full responsibility for the accusations Colin Hanks’ Parsons was hurtling Gibbs’ way to free him up for a JSOC mission. In the season 11 premiere, “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” the team reunites when Parsons makes a return appearance and another threat to Gibbs. (Hasn’t Parsons learned by now that you can’t try to bring Gibbs down and succeed?) However, it’s not going to be that easy to get everyone back together apparently, as executive producer Gary Glasberg has revealed, “Ziva is out in the ether and Tony has to go off and find her. The second episode is really all about Tony and Ziva, and I hope, delivers all the things the Tiva fans are going to want.”
Yes, Tiva fans should have something to be happy about, even if it’s just finally getting answers, as Michael Weatherly has teased, “The will they/won’t they is answered. Tony’s going to be forced to face this Sword of Damocles that’s been hanging over him since Season 3.” Could there be a farewell moment between the two before Ziva leaves? They got close in the finale only for Ziva to pull the “I care too much about our friendship” card, but she could have something very different to say when she’s leaving.
“NCIS” season 11 will air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS this fall.
