North Carolina pit bull mom and babies looking for urgent help

by used view

The days are numbered for a young mother and her 8 babies. She was abandoned at the Vance County Animal Shelter one day before giving birth. Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society of Henderson North Carolina (RCAPS) is reaching out to compassionate Facebook users to help out the young Pit bull family.

Her name is Lala, she is thought to be between one and two years old. At her young age, Lala gave birth to 8 lovely babies that are now known as the Lollipops. The RCAPS team describes Lala as a charming & friendly girl who loves people. “This is not a safe place for new pups to be. Please save sweet Lala and pups. Lala’s & Lollipop pups’ hold was up on Jul 21, they can be killed any time after that date” reads the caption below their picture.

Unfortunately, the shelter has labeled Lala as a pit bull mix, and because of that she has to go to a 501c3 animal rescue and she cannot be adopted from the shelter. In order for rescues to step up, there is free transportation available via I-95 from North Carolina to New Jersey every weekend to approved rescues.

RCAPS kindly asks for people to help find a rescue that could take Lala and the Lollipups. Visit the site Rescueshelter.com and do a search by breed and then the system will provide general rescues in the area or those outside that will pull from the area.

If it is within your possibilities to make a kind donation in order to help Lala and her Lollipops get to safety please visit their online fundraiser on: youcaring.com

Please remember, small donations add up in a tremendous way. Even if you can’t help financially, you can lend a hand by sharing with family and friends.

**A note by RCAPS: Any sponsorship funds raised by RCAPS will transferred only to rescue groups who complete our screening process & are approved through RCAPS, minus any expenses incurred for vetting, vaccinations, testing, health certificates, etc. Free transport is also available only to rescue partners of RCAPS. We take very seriously the responsibility of ensuring the dogs & cats only go to reputable & safe rescue groups who adhere to our policies. Sponsorship for dogs/cats going to rescues not screened by RCAPS will be transferred to another animal in urgent need of donations.
