Amanda Bynes seems determined to get so much attention that she makes every celebrity out there feel the need to weigh in on her situation. She recently got Miley Cyrus to weigh in on her woes, and now two other musicians are talking about her. According to a June 12 report by the New York Post, Avril Lavigne revealed what happened during her run-in with Bynes, and on June 13, Perez Hilton reported on what Cher recently tweeted about the former child star.
Since Amanda is obsessed with labeling other celebrities “ugly,” you’d think that no star out there would bother defending the troubled starlet. However, pop punk rocker Avril Lavigne only had nice things to say about the “All That” actress when she was asked about Bynes’ crazy claim that she raps on one of the singer’s upcoming singles.
Avril stated, “I don’t think she said that. The only thing I have to say about her is that the one time I met her it was for the Race to Erase MS event. I’m on the board of that foundation. She was in the bathroom and she was at that event, she said ‘hi’ to me, I said ‘hi’ to her. And she was really nice in the bathroom. That’s my only personal experience with her so it was positive.”
So it sounds like Amanda Bynes was actually friendly and approachable before her obsession with the word “ugly” began.
Legendary musician Cher is one of the many celebs who Amanda has labeled “ugly” in the past, but the performer had no idea who Amanda was when one of her Twitter followers asked her if she was upset that Bynes had called her “ugly and a flop.”
Cher responded by writing, “Who’s that ? Wait .. Is this another WTF IS MDMA.” Cher’s tweets are pretty difficult to decipher, but it appears that she was referring to a silly senior moment that she suffered on Twitter last year. She had written, “Wtf is mdna.” So she’s also pretty clueless about what Madonna is up to these days.
Amanda was probably secretly excited that Cher tweeted about her, but she responded with this huffy message: “This is my twitter. I say whatever I want. Thanks!” Instead of getting upset with the actress for calling her ugly and being rude, Cher actually apologized. “You got That One Right! SORRY About shade,Sweet- Heart,it was unintentional… Promise,” she wrote.
Amanda might not be too happy with Cher right now, but with the amount of plastic surgery the Nickelodeon star is getting these days, perhaps the “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer should be her new idol.
