According to an article published on Sunday morning by the New York Post, President Barack Obama made a deal – a secret deal – to give Hillary Rodham Clinton his full support in 2016 as a form of payback for the support Hillary’s husband – former President Bill Clinton – gave Obama in the presidential election of 2012.

This may well-explain the former president’s change of attitude, heart, and verbal support for President Obama in 2012 when he had been verbally anti-Obama half-way through Obama’s first term. In fact, Bill Clinton was encouraging his wife to run against Obama in 2012 for a time. Hillary Clinton, the sitting United States Secretary of State, didn’t want to challenge Obama a second time for the job. Therefore, she didn’t run against Obama in 2012.
Two people who attended a meeting which included Bill Clinton in Chappaqua during the events that resulted in these revelations said that the former president ranted against President Obama at the time. They quoted Bill Clinton as saying that he had been asked for his advice more from former President George W. Bush than he had been asked from Barack Obama. He allegedly went on to say that he has had no relationship with Obama – none whatsoever. Additionally, Bill Clinton claimed that Obama doesn’t know how to be president and doesn’t know how the world works. He went as far as to be quoted as saying that Obama is incompetent and an amateur.
The ranting by Bill Clinton towards President Barack Obama reportedly only stopped when Obama appeared with Hillary Clinton on “60 Minutes,” and Obama endlessly praised his outgoing Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
It was also well-known by insiders that President Obama initially didn’t want Bill Clinton to be the star of the Democratic National Convention, as he was. At first, Obama didn’t want Bill Clinton to give the nominating speech, but David Axelrod won out by convincing Obama that he needed Bill Clinton’s popularity because the race was not going well by the end of the summer for Obama. Clinton delivered the much-praised speech and became the star of the DNC just as Obama had thought he would.
Obama didn’t keep his word by becoming non-committal regarding a presidential candidate in 2016 after he won re-election. Bill Clinton reportedly went raving mad and was prepared to retaliate when Obama decided he better do something. That something was contacting Steve Kroft of CBS’ “60 Minutes” to do the interview with Hillary Clinton on television.
These allegations are in Regnery Publishing’s “The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House” by Edward Klein which is to be released in the coming week.
