PA Cage Fight is returning for the first time since February with PA Cage Fight 16. PA Cage Fight 16 is gonna be headed towards the Hilton Hotel & Conference Center in Scranton, PA on June 15th. There are a number of big named fighters on this stacked fight card due to match maker, former Bellator fighter, and LITC CEO Fran Evans. The main event of PA Cage Fight 16 pits Emmanuel Walo against 1-0 PA Cage Fight veteran Jeremiah Wells. That is just the main event, one bout out of 4 scheduled Pro bouts on this card.
Walo is currently 3-1 as a Pro MMA fighter, and is currently on a 3-fight win streak. Walo lost his first Pro bout at CFFC 12 by Unanimous Decision against Michael Wilcox. Since then he’s strung 3 wins in a row over Yancy Martin (by first round Guillotine Choke submission), and both Bradley Desir and Toby Oden by Unanimous Decision. His opponent, Jeremiah Wells, has fought for PA Cage Fight on three separate occasions (twice as an Amateur, and once as a Pro). So far Wells hasn’t lost with the promotion, winning all three bouts by Knockout or TKO within the first round, including his last bout at PA Cage Fight 14 against Quinton Stephens. Who will come out the victor in this main event fight? It definitely will be an interesting fight to watch.
Shane Manley (2-1) has fought for CFFC before, and has already fought twice this year. He won his last bout against Evan Scott via Unanimous Decision at Winter Blast back on February 23rd. He is taking on Adam Penberthy who also holds a Pro record of 2-1. Penberthy won his first two Pro bouts, but lost his last one against Philadelphia Fight Firm product Gemiyale “Baby Hercules” Adkins via first round Arm Triangle submission. Penberthy most certainly is looking to get back to his winning ways, while a win for Manley will extend his win streak to 2. This could be a very entertaining fight for MMA fight fans.
Brazen MMA product Anthony “The Animal” Terrell will be having his second Professional bout against Clint Plotner, who is making his Pro debut. Terrell is a LITC veteran, and made his Pro debut at LITC 15 back in April. Terrell defeated a very tough opponent in Martinez BJJ product Marius Enache via first round TKO due to a head kick. Plotner is a Matrix Fights veteran, and has fought for PA Cage Fight before as well, losing to Ian Brofsky via first round submission at PA Cage Fight 15. Plotner won his last Amateur bout against Yuting Hong via Split Decision at TNT Fight Series: March Madness. Both of these fighters are very technical and very skilled inside the cage. Terrell submitted someone in his last Amateur bout, and Plotner’s only weakness it seems is submission defense. It will be interesting to see how much Plotner has improved in that area. This could very well be fight of the night, you definitely do not want to miss this fight.
The featured Amateur bout of the night is a PA Cage Fight Amateur Lightweight Title fight between Philip Parrish and Jim Jordan. Parrish is 6-6 and in his most recent fight defeated Ryan Courtney via 3rd Round TKO. Jordan is a PA Cage Fight veteran and is undefeated at 4-0. He has defeated the likes of Anthony McGlynn and LITC veteran Eddie “Shuperman” Shupe. Like I previously said, this fight is for the PA Cage Fight Amateur Lightweight Title and is scheduled as of right now for 5 three minute rounds.
This stacked Amateur card features some great up and coming talent aside from the Title fight as well. Franny Kubach (2-2) is taking on William Bidwell (2-2). Kubach is an LITC veteran and trains at the well known Maxercise Gym (located at 707 Chestnut St, 19106). His teammate Robert Fitzgerald (1-2, 1 NC), is also fighting on this card taking on Lazaro Gonzalez (2-0) in a Light Heavyweight tilt. Gonzalez has had 2 fights, achieved 2 wins, and both fights COMBINED lasted 43 seconds. Fitzgerald is a VERY tough kid. His one No Contest really could have been a TKO victory if the fight lasted a few seconds longer. Unfortunately Fitzgerald received a cut due to an accidental headbutt in the chaos of trying to finish his opponent, and the fight was stopped. That’s only a couple of the great fights this stacked fight card has. Here is the entire scheduled fight card for PA Cage Fight 16. The card is subject to change:
Emmanuel Walo vs. Jeremiah Wells
Shane Manley vs. Adam Penberthy
Anthony Terrell vs. Clint Plotner
Steve Dobisesky vs. Ed Abrasley
