Amid the usual muckraking that goes on during any “Revenge” episode, a couple of new developments came to light during “Engagement” which aired Sunday, May 5 at 8 p.m.
The first had to do with Takeda. He sent Daniel Grayson Aidan’s last employment history which revealed that Aidan’s father was the baggage handler suspected of stowing the bomb on the plane that exploded and sent this whole storyline in motion. Naturally, when Daniel discovered this, he fired Aidan which puts a real cramp in Emily’s plans.
It seems Takeda was tired of Aidan going off half-cocked and not sticking to the plans. In spite of Emily begging him to give Aidan another chance, Takeda showed up at Aidan’s house and a samurai sword fight ensued, one which Takeda came out on the losing end of. With Takeda dead, things change in a big way.
As for Aidan, he is pretty upset about Emily’s engagement to Daniel and her plans to move to France with him in two weeks. He wants to speed up the Revenge process and convinces Nolan to help hack into the Grayson’s accounts. They transfer the money to a secret account, leaving the Grayson’s bankrupt. Emily rushes in at the last minute to stop them, reminding them Aidan’s user if will tell the Grayson’s who did it but the transfer has been made.
Now to reveal who is pregnant. In another bizarre twist, Charlotte Grayson seems to have lost her mind in the last couple of episodes. Grieving over the sister she had just begun to grow close too, Charlotte has been ditching school, standing up boyfriend Declan – who is way too understanding and hanging out with a gal pal at clubs until all hours.
Declan goes looking for her and finds her outside the club, puking, her gal pal standing by laughing. The police cart Charlotte off on suspicion of drunk and disorderly though she says she isn’t. She calls bid brother to bail her out. Over a quiet meal, she tells him she doesn’t want their parents ruining anyone else’s life. He assumes she means Declan’s until she tells him she’s pregnant. Fade to black.
So…Now that Takeda is dead and the Graysons are about to discover they are bankrupt, will Emily call off the engagement, marry Aidan and live happily ever after? Not likely. And what about Charlotte? Is the baby Declan’s? Will they marry or will she have an abortion? Will she run off and raise the baby on her own?
Tune in Sunday for the finale of “Revenge” when “Truth” airs on ABC at 8 p.m.
