I know you have heard the expression: you can’t ride two horses with one bottom. Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey & Circus proved that this is simply not true. If you can’t ride it with one bottom, you can certainly ride it with two feet; and that’s just what they did at last night Dragons show at Reliant Stadium in Houston. You may ask how is this humanly possible- well if I weren’t there to see with my own eyes, I would ask as well. One person, standing with one foot on the saddle of one horse and the other foot on the saddle of another horse! And they weren’t just standing, they were riding and riding fast! This show was so unbelievably great.
If you have never seen a motor cycle on a tight rope, suspended in the air- some unimaginable feet off the ground, with three people vertically hanging from it all while performing acrobatics, then once again you missed it last night. However, the Circus is in Houston for four more days with the last show ending Sunday at 5:30pm.
I have never been to a Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey circus before. It was a perfect opportunity to take my two-year old and myself to experience this wonderful show together. He had a blast! He danced, sang, participated from afar, laughed, cracked his side in laughter actually. He was amazed, at one point he screamed mommy those motorcycles are trapped. Those motorcycles were not trapped but he was referring to the World record setting eight motorcycles that took on the ring. There were literally eight motorcycles that rode at the same time, at fast speed inside a caged egg. I know, I know- hard to explain and this is why you have to see for yourself! I became a kid again last night. So can you. This is a fun way to spend the evening, well worth the money and you can bring out your inner child. This show dispels many myths.
The show didn’t stop at motorcycles and horses. We had quite the show when the Elephants took to the ring performing tricks and even a hand stand. This is something even I can’t do so imagine an Elephant doing it. Training is intense, I was told by one worker.
Then there were tamed Lions and Tigers. There was the dog show which was super hilarious! Can’t forget about the triple summersault from the trapeze. Or the….. Well, I don’t want to give the show away. It was split in 2 halves with a 15 min intermission. Two solid hours of fun, excitement and we didn’t want to leave. I can definitely see why this show is called “The Greatest Show on Earth!” The show finale was one to see over and over. Yes, I will go again because it was sensory overload for me as well as my son who came home and slept so well. I had to peal him from his seat to make him leave. He thanked over and over with hugs and kissed. Just to see him smiling and eyes wide open was one indescribable feeling as a mother. I felt like the Greatest MOM on Earth. It was so jam-packed with fun, you would have to go many times and each time, I’m sure you will be more amazed. Yes, obviously I recommend it. I give it 5stars, and a 20 on a 10 scale!
I was able to be at work and be with my child. Now that’s balance and for sure the workplace relationship that works for me! Thx to H2HMag, Feld Entertainment and Huff
