Legendary former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr is set to release a series of unseen photos of the band that made him a star. According to a May 31 NME report, Ringo is releasing unseen Beatles photos in an upcoming eBook.
Ringo’s new book is named “Photograph” and will be released initially in eBook only format on iTunes. It was just this week that another artist, Demi Lovato, also announced the release of a new eBook also exclusively on iTunes. Multi-media eBooks by musicians appears to be the latest new trend.
The book of unseen photographs coincides with a new Grammy Museum exhibit called Ringo: Peace & Love. Beatles fans without an iPad will have to wait until December for the release of the physical book. The digital version reportedly will have audio commentary by the Beatles’ drummer that accompanies the photos of himself, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison.
Decades after the Beatles were a chart-topping rock band, the group remains popular. The question is this: will Ringo’s new book of photographs gain the interest of fans?
