High-flying rum ambassador Ian Burrell of the United Kingdom today announced his ambitious mission to serve seven unique rum cocktails on each of the seven continents within a period of seven months. At each special event, Ian will build his Coco Re’al sponsored Rumshack and create a brand new cocktail for rum fans to enjoy for the very first time.
In April, Ian began his 777 World Tour by setting up his Coco Re’al rum shack amidst the splendor and challenging temperature ranges of the southernmost continent.
In May, he visited the rum festival in Hong Kong and once again presented another unique rum cocktail for the participants of that gathering as his Asian component of the tour.
June finds Ian in Venezuela, South America for the Diplomatico Rum International Cocktail Championship, then on to New Orleans for the annual Tales Of The Cocktail extravaganza in July to complete the North American portion of the globe-trotting rum tour.
Mr. Burrell travels to South Africa for the Mauritius Rum Festival in August, the a stop in Australia in September before his final leg of the tour at his own UK Rum Festival in October.
As Founder and Director of The Rum Experience and UK RumFest, and owner of Cottons Camden Rhum Shack and Restaurant in Camdentown, Ian Burrell reports he is thrilled to be working with Coco Re’al — the popular brand of coconut puree and essential cocktail ingredient — as the headline sponsor of his ongoing 777 World Tour.
Coco Re’al is the world’s leading brand of coconut cream. Made by American Beverages Marketers from coconuts from the Dominican Republic, Coco Re’al is the favourite coconut cream with bartenders in seven continents for its great taste, superb packaging and easy to use upside down bottle.
Steve Dingley, Northern Europe Brand Manager for Finest Call Cocktail Mixes, comments: “What a great partnership this is between a global brand like Coco Re’al coconut cream and the Global Rum Ambassador that is the inimitable Ian Burrell. Between them they conjure cocktails unbeaten in seven continents. We are delighted to help Ian in his mission”.
