In a sneak peek at Friday’s edition of Fox News’ “On the Record” with Greta van Susteren, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin says she was forbidden from speaking out about Obama’s experience and his controversial relationships with Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers during the 2008 campaign, Fox News Insider reported..
“I was not allowed to talk about things like that because those ‘elitists,’ those who are the brainiacs in the GOP machine, running John McCain’s campaign at the time said that the media would eat us alive if we brought up these things,” Palin said.
Palin went on to say that the self-censoring of the McCain campaign gave America “a list” of scandals.
On Wednesday, Obama kicked off his 19th “pivot on jobs” with a speech claiming Republicans were too busy focused on “phony scandals” to deal with the economy. Earlier in the day, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney made the same claim, prompting an angry response from Joe Scarborough.
“I’m not someone you talk down to from your podium,” Scarborough said.
House Republicans are still seeking answers to questions regarding the circumstances surrounding the Benghazi terror attack that took place last Sept. 11. Four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, were killed in that attack. Some say a picture taken after the attack indicates Stevens may not have died in the manner suggested by official reports.
At least 292 conservative groups seeking tax-exempt were targeted by the IRS, including groups that criticized Obama and at least five pro-Israel groups were subjected to additional scrutiny. Conservative activists and businesses have been targeted along with a Texas voting-rights group, at least two pro-life organizations and a conservative Hispanic organization.
Palin is set to appear on van Susteren’s program Friday at 10 p.m. Eastern time.
