Your best chance to say hello to all the so-called “beautiful” people in Canada is to round them up, have them all sit down in your living room, and let them chat away at you.
Not going to happen?
Then you could pick up the May 27/13 edition of Hello Canada and take a look at their list of the 50 most beautiful Canadian stars, at least in their eyes.
Number one on the list is singer Avril Lavigne, she of the black, black double black eye lashes. Michael Buble (he’s so nice) is also on the list, along with such names as Milos Raonic (the tennis player), Justin Bieber of monkey business fame, and Shania Twain, who probably hasn’t lived in Canada since the Kim Campbell administration. She is originally from Timmins, Ontario. (see map)
Ed Robertson of the Bare-naked Ladies is in the issue, and he is quoted by Hello Canada saying that, in his eyes, the most beautiful Canadian is “My wife, Natalie Herbert? She raised our children and manned the fort while I toured all over the world for two decades. Plus, she’s super hot.”
You can also flip through the magazine and say hello to actor Cobie Smulders, singer Matt Dusk (who should be more well-known than he is), chef Lisa Ray and country singer Dean Brody.
Hockey star Sidney Crosby is in the magazine, and he reveals that his childhood nickname was Squid and that his favourite place in the world is his home in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia.
There’s also this interesting comment from actor Will Arnett, who reveals that he once was a baggage handler at the Toronto Island airport, and he is quoted as saying “Everything that you think about a baggage handler mistreating your bags is all accurate.”
Some of those not included in the Hello list, and perhaps should have been, are Jann Arden, Jean Beliveau, Margaret Atwood, Anne Murray and astronaut Chris Hadfield. But that’s just our opinion. (see video)
We’ll leave the last word to Enuka Okuma, of TV’s Rookie Blue, who said to Hello Canada that “We Canadians don’t take ourselves too seriously, and in my opinion all that laughter makes for one sexy nation.” First time we have ever seen the words Canadians and sexy in the same sentence!
Have a great day and thanks for the click.
