Woohoo! Exercise just got more interesting with the invention of the Happy Ride; a vibrating bicycle seat that fits most bikes. Whether mountain biking, recreational cycling, or spinning in place on a stationary bike, the Happy Ride has just upped the fun quotient and made exercise less like exercise and more like couples therapy (or singleton fun)!
Created by SexShop356, this device retails for $43 (£28) in the UK and comes with free batteries and shipping and handling. The saddle cover has and “EVA padded lining and black nylon fabric outer surface…this devices features an attached vibe control pocket along with an inside seat powerful vibrator.” (sexshop356.co.uk description)
What many don’t realize is that sex is a form of exercise. It’s good cardio that benefits the heart while orgasm has multiple benefits such as glowing skin, and the release of natural pain-killing (oxytocin) and mood-enhancing hormones (endorphins). A twenty-year study called the Longevity Project (conducted by Stanford Psychologist Lewis Terman) found that “women who had a higher frequency of achieving orgasm during intercourse tended to live longer than their less fulfilled peers”. (Psychology Today)
The Happy Ride, although not “intercourse” with a partner, can still help provide the benefit of orgasm, and it can be shared with one’s partner if both participate in the acitivity by riding bikes together. With both partners having one of these seat covers, it could be a couple’s naughty little secret. It might even count as a fetish for those who want to have sex in public without getting caught!
SS356 Buyer Claire Bowden tells Cosmopolitan UK that the new gadget is inspired by the Fifty Shades of Grey upcoming movie. The Fifty Shades book craze had women (and men) sneaking off to indulge in the erotic fantasies that included not just bondage, but quite adventurous sexcapades. SS356 put two and two together to create the Happy Ride which, at a rather good price, can spice up a couple’s sex life.
Cyclists can adjust the level of vibrating sensations with the control unit to make their ride as pleasurable as possible.
Exercise, sexercise! Usually when something feels good or tastes good, it probably isn’t good for us. Not so in this case.
Perhaps progressive gyms could offer a super sexy couples spin class. Would you try it?
