Looking for a way to store your business data in the cloud? Anchor knows the way.
Established in San Francisco, California in 2011, Anchor has developed software that permits multi-tenant storage, file synchronization, and collaboration solutions in the cloud for managed service providers. The software is called, appropriately, Anchor.
The software permits managed service providers (MSPs) to scale their service to thousands of users. Anchor integrates with the AutoTask and ConnectWise business process tools. It includes a centrally administered, multi-tenant dashboard with an alerting system and the capability to provide customized individual usage and organizational reports and mobile applications.
It is quite flexible. For example, it delivers universal file access with rapid synching for stationary and mobile end points. It allows internal and external users to store data flexibly and set access and security controls. It also includes continuous real time, multiple folder and revised file backup to assure that data is secure and is not lost. In addition, it is compatible with Windows, Linux, and OSX, uses 448-bit Blowfish encryption, and features encryption key management and remote wipes of end-points.
Moreover, it is quickly deployed. It takes only 10 minutes to set it up with the server and 5 minutes for customer onboarding.
A group of entrepreneurs and channel-focused executives built the software specifically for managed service providers and end users. The staff includes David Bernat, who is Vice President, Technology; A.K. Kapoor, Vice President, Sales; Bryan Forrester, Vice President, Business Development; Pierre Tapia, Vice President, Product; and Matt Cotton, Senior Software Architect.
Bernat is accountable for overall technology. He has more than 25 years of experience creating business technology applications. He co-founded Lasso Logic and was the principle designer of SonicWALL CDP, the first continuous data protection backup solution.
Kapoor manages overall revenue and sales strategy. He led direct and indirect sales teams for channel and enterprise sales for Acronis, SonicWall, and Quest Software.
Forrester is responsible for strategic business partnerships and related company policies. He served as Director of Sales at Quest Software’s Network Management Division and managed the company’s worldwide sales.
Tapia is responsible for product vision. He created the team and execution plan for the software. Prior to joining Anchor, he was a consultant with Quest Software where he managed execution of projects.
Cotton assisted in designing the Anchor software. Prior to joining Anchor, he served as a software architect at SonicWall where he worked on many high performance-networking products. His experience has focused on constructing continuous backup products.
