This past spring Shabby Apple launched their “Something Old, Something New” line. From the classic sheath to full skirts from the 50’s originally inspired by Dior’s new look, the line includes a variety of designs and fabrics to flatter bridesmaids of all kinds. Stretch matte satin dresses in colors ranging from rich jewel tones to pale pastels are all made to fit the occasion. Two wrap dresses, including one in an intriguing satin jersey, offer a rare combination of both class and comfort for bridesmaids celebrating the all-day affair. Shabby Apple plays up the trends with a flirty eyelash lace while also offering a more traditional approach with an embroidery crochet lace dress that pops with bright liners.
Enhance every dress with add-on accessories. Two different style sashes in luxurious cream taffeta sashes can be punctuated with a choice of nine silver and jeweled brooches. The dresses alone are beautiful, but you can see by some of the photos in the slide show, that the accessories available make the look complete. Depending on the wedding location and your personal style you might be looking to add a hat, necklace, or one of the decadent sashes.
For anyone who is concerned about ordering online, don’t be! I recently was able to try their ordering process and was excited with what I got. The user friendly website has many pictures available, as well as a zoom function. Make sure to be honest with the size chart, because you will be much happier if you are! Sizes vary from brand to brand, and keep in mind that even if you plan on losing weight it’s always easier to take a dress in then to let it out! If you are having trouble with an aspect or ordering you can get live help.
When my dress came in the mail there was no mistaking the quality. The cream lace overlay was a significant weight that I wouldn’t worry about ripping though wear. This is of course, not to say that it was going to be too heavy to wear! The lace looked like something that was carefully picked out and superficially done for the dress, makes you feel special to wear it! The dress liner is so smooth and silky, it glides with your movement.
