Jake Herbert, 2012 Olympic wrestler, and college coaches from Illinois, New York and North Carolina will be among the featured guests on Takedown Wrestling this Saturday, July 27, the weekly radio show announced Wednesday.
Join Scott Casber, Kurt Backes and Brad Johnson live this Saturday 9-11 a.m. Central and 10 a.m.-noon Eastern.
The show opens with Neal Thompson, a wrestling leader who will talk about the international wrestling scene. At 9:15, Jake Herbert, two-time NCAA champ for Northwestern who wrestled freestyle at the London Games one year ago, and is now fighting to save Olympic wrestling, takes the mic… followed at 9:35 by Jim Heffernan, head coach of the University of Illinois Fighting Illini.
The second hour starts with Rob Anspach, who’s about to start his third season as head wrestling coach at Hofstra University… followed at 10:20 by Pat Popolizio, who took the helm at North Carolina State one year ago. At 10:35, it’s Shawn Lally, head coach at SUNY Stony Brook.
