“The Bachelorette” has kicked off its new season on ABC. On Tuesday, May 28, both Entertainment Weekly and People Magazine shared the comments made by those involved with the new season. Check out the previously released photos of the men this season here, and check out the previously released photos of Desiree Hartsock here. Desiree Hartsock had her work cut out for her on the first night of her journey. She met the men one by one, and some made a definite impression on her. Not everyone made a positive impression though. One man found himself sent home before the rose ceremony because he pushed the fantasy suite on her three times during the night. After the third attempt, she was ready for him to leave. Desiree said the following about his attempts, according to People Magazine:
“Although I politely turned down Jonathon’s offer to go to the ‘fantasy suite’ during his entrance, he continued to interrupt my conversations with other men to try and lure me into a private room. His persistence made me feel very uncomfortable and his behavior was not of someone I would want to date, so I knew I had to send him home before the rose ceremony.”
Chris Harrison also spoke about this situation, and he said that Desiree handled the situation well. He did offer more teasers for the season ahead as well. He said the following in his new Entertainment Weekly blog:
“That first night is always just a jumping off point for what’s to come. You got a taste of what Des is in for this season, and let me tell you, in my opinion, this is one of the best seasons we’ve ever had. Des was great about really opening herself up and being vulnerable going through this. That’s really the only way this thing works but unfortunately it also opens you up to the possibility of getting hurt. Next week the dates begin, and so does the drama. These guys start falling for Des quickly and the battle for her time and attention gets intense.”
Harrison had previously teased that the real drama this season will start to pop up during episode three. That will air soon. “The Bachelorette” will continue to air on ABC on Monday nights.
