Naughty Dog took part in a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AmA) Wednesday where it revealed some of its future plans for the PS3 exclusive The Last of Us in regards to DLC and a sequel.
The Last of Us will be getting DLC add-ons with an announcement coming “soon-ish” according to creative director Neil Druckman. He stated “this month” but since it is currently the very last day of July, he most likely meant an announcement will come in August. The first DLC will be single-player though and will feature returning characters. Which returning characters and the setting still remains a mystery, however.
Game director Bruce Stanley added that the “DLC is going to amazing! Just wait! We’re happy with what we’ve come up with.”
Stanley also confirmed that there will be at least two DLC packs with a multiplayer add-on following the single-player.
As for the a possible sequel to The Last of Us, creative director Neil Druckmann stated that Naughty Dog is currently “playing with some ideas, but no direction has been set yet for the next game.”
