If you have been paying attention, you would have noticed that there’s a series afoot here in Examiner-land. This series, complete with product introductions and reviews, has been all about beard oils. Sadly, like all good things this series must come to an end and it does so with this article.
Today’s beard oil adventure comes to you from The Mod Cabin. This little company out of Lafayette, Colorado is dedicated to providing its customers with wholesome, natural products that are free of nasty things like synthetic chemicals, dyes, fragrance oils, parabens, or sulfates. Instead, in combination with two others, they use an oil that has been keeping the long hairs of the fairer sex smooth and tangle-free for a very long time: Argan.
The Mod Cabin takes argan oil, which is quite thick in its natural state, and mixes it with coconut and jojoba oils to make a nutritive combination that keeps your beard shiny, healthy and pretty much free of kinks and tangles. To this winning combination, The Mod Cabin adds a smattering of fragrant essential oils to make sure you smell as good as you look. The end result is three beard oils (Gunbarrel, Stirner & Vagabond) that they sell for $18 per bottle.
As with the other oils in this series, it is the carrier oils, in this case; argan, coconut, and jojoba, that do the majority of the work. If I have to choose a favorite of the lot, it would be the Gunbarrel oil with its masculine, yet fresh and clean scent of pine and cedar. That said, though, all it takes is a few drops of whatever beard oil you find yourself falling in love with that will work the best for you. Remember, the product has to be appealing to you in order for you to use it so the end result can ultimately be achieved.

**Full disclosure: These beard oils were provided at no cost for the purpose of testing/reviewing, to think otherwise would be silly.
