There are many gaming fans out there that believe that Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony are all in the middle of a console war right now, do you? According to Nazih Fares from VGProfessional, “Playstation 4 is better, Xbox One is stronger, and the Wii U has better games.” Nazih, I could not agree with you more. In fact, what would the world be like today if Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony all agreed to join forces in designing one console? I know, it’s very far fetched, but just imagine what could happen.
Imagine that all three companies joined forces this year and instead of designing the PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U, they all conjoined and created the Psii U One! This console would be the first console in the gaming world that would have a touch tablet controller, built in voice activation system, a motion sensor, and ultimate 1080P Blu Ray functionality; maybe we can even add in some sort of controller with a big ball at the end for those players that don’t like motion only games.
What about the games though? Currently each company has there own exclusive games like Mario, Halo, or Uncharted. But what would happen if these games also joined forces. Wouldn’t it be funny if you had a game where you were playing as Lieutenant Commander Jacob Keyes and you were searching for Princess Peach? But let’s throw in there that the only transportation you could have was using Axel’s two-wheeled contraption from the Twisted Metal series? Tell me that would not be a funny game?
Seriously, how many movies are out in the industry that mock a bunch of movies in one? Don’t you think that Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft could all come together and create one, two, or three games where all of there exclusive characters are fighting at the same time? Maybe gamers could really use a Halo Smash Bro’s title.
But in all honesty, this will never happen. Even though there are no console wars, each company is surviving solely on what they bring to the table. Like Nazih said before, “Playstation 4 is better, Xbox One is stronger, and the Wii U has better games”, we will never see the Psii U One come to life! Of course if it did, there would be endless possibilities to what kind of games could be made with the combination of motion gameplay, voice activation, and a full functional tablet controller. The world of video games would just become crazy!
What’s your opinion? Would you be interested in seeing something like this happen? Would you want to try the PSii U One?
