“The Walking Dead” fans are highly anticipating the Season 4 premiere set to debut sometime this October. In the meantime, hungry fans are scouting the web for the latest news, interviews, and spoilers for the upcoming season. On Monday, June 10, Walking Dead Locations and WetPaint revealed new details for Season 4 and filming locations for this week.
It’s not news that the threat of walkers will rise in this upcoming season, and Norman Reedus backed up that fact in an interview last month. But now, Gale Anne Hurd possibly revealed more about walkers. “I think we’ll have walkers who are even more ravenous than before,” Gale said. “We’re in a world where there are fewer people and more walkers, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw that on-screen this season.” This is a big fact that many fans didn’t even think of – now that there are less survivors around, walkers are getting hungrier.
WetPaint suggests that perhaps walkers will adapt and grow smarter about catching any survivor they can. Fans might recall that that Reedus said that these upcoming walkers are “terrifying” and that the “new threat is just unreal.”
In the same interview, Gale was asked about the biggest challenge they have come across while shooting. “We have serious weather issues to contend with,” Gale said. “We had one day where there was a torrential downpour and a tree fell on the set, so you just have to roll with stuff like that.” What made fans skip a heartbeat is the following statement from Gale, “Other times, you realize that a character that you thought might live actually has to die.” Did Gale just spoil a highly surprising death on the way? Or is this premature speculation and Gale is possibly referring to a death in Season 3, like Andrea? Fans can’t wait to find out!
Any “The Walking Dead” fans in Senoia, Georgia? Walking Dead Locations site has released information on the shooting location for tomorrow, Tuesday, June 11.
