Following the highly anticipated debut of “The Walking Dead” Season 4 trailer, casting news were revealed by Spoiler TV on Tuesday, July 23. While these new roles don’t seem to reveal much at first glance, comic book fans looked deeper and figured out some possible spoilers.
According to the source, the new recurring roles production is currently casting are:
- John Tyler, a man in his early 30’s described as vulgar, but wise.
- Wayne Kesey, a man in his early 30’s described as smart and an experienced liar.
- Jordada Barraza, a woman in her late 20’s described as a tough and beautiful Hispanic that is embarrassed about her past.
These characters might not seem too important, but knowing that the names production releases are usually just temporarily code names, fans dug into the comics to find out more. If you haven’t caught up to the comics, The Walking Dead Wiki should help out. The characters above are being speculated to be:
- Abraham Ford
- Eugene Porter
- Rosita Espinosa
Here’s a quick recap of the characters rumored to be joining “The Walking Dead” next season:
Rosita, Abraham, and Eugene traveled across the country from Houston towards Washington and previously belonged to a larger group of survivors. Before teaming up with Abraham and Eugene, Rosita used her looks to survive, charming men so they would help protect her. She fell in love with Abraham when he kindly protected her without the need of any favors, like all previous men Rosita had been with. They both initiate a romantic relationship.
The trio comes across Rick and his group at Hershel’s farm, which of course is gone in the TV series. This could mean that they will meet at the prison, or perhaps the group’s next location since it seems like they won’t be lasting at the prison for very long.
Eugene lies to Rick’s group and says that he used to be a scientist and knows what caused the plague, but can’t disclose any information as he is swore not to. Rick and the gang are skeptical at first but Abraham urges them to believe Eugene’s story, knowing that there is safety in numbers.
Abraham mistakenly pronounces Maggie dead after a failed suicide attempt. This angers Rick and they both get into a nasty fight. The two later bond after finding out that they have been through similar losses – Abraham lost his wife and children. Abraham also help rescue Carl from a group of bandits. In the comics, after Tyreese’s death, Abraham takes his place as Rick’s right hand man. Abraham eventually dies, shot in the eye by a character named Dwight.
