The Dirty Souls, Tedo Stone, Dirty Hotel Sunshine and more @ The Masquerade 5/11/13
If you dig good rock music then you need to be at the Masquerade Saturday night. Highlighting a night of good music is The Dirty Souls, Tedo Stone and Dirty Hotel Sunshine. The Dirty Souls deliver some bad ass straight forward rock n roll music that pleases the ear. Paired with a boisterous stage presence their live shows are a must see. Tedo Stone’s music explodes from the speakers as his haunting vocals intertwine spacey melodies and fuzzy guitars. Dirty Hotel Sunshine brings vicous guitar riffs and bluesy rhythms to the table as one of the better live bands to play in Atlanta. The Radio Birds and Hot Wives round out the roster for one hell of a night of music. Along with five bands playing, did I mention the show was free? Yeah you can’t beat that deal anywhere.
The ATL Collective: Live At Folsom Prison @ Eddies Attic 5/8/13
The ATL Collective gets together once a month and plays an album in its entirety. No they don’t just play a record, they bring in singers and musicians and perform an album from start to finish. Thi Wednesday night they will set up shop at Eddie’s Attic for a night of Live at Folsom Prison. Come listen to the songs of Johnny Cash as the Collective enlists the help of Death On Two Wheels, Lauren St. Jane, The Skipperdees and Tyler Lyle. With refreshments coming afterwards, this should be one mighty fine night of tunes.
John Sosebee Band @ Darwins 5/10/13
Good old fashioned Hill Country blues are on tap Friday night at Darwins. The intimate club in Marietta will be hosting the John Sosebee Band for a night of down and dirty juke joint blues. Blistering guitars and pounding rhythms will echo off the walls as the Georgia blueman treats the packed house to some sweet music. Get there early so you get a seat, grab a cold beer and enjoy the tunes.
Moontower @ Kirkwood Spring Fling 5/11/13
Sweet Southern melodies and country infused rhythms is what you get from Atlanta’s Moontower. These guys thrive in the live environment and Saturday at the Kirkwood Spring Fling Festival you can see for yourself. Their laid back tunes are perfect for an outdoor festival as the sound waves carry through the air invading the ears of anything that gets in the way. Check them out they deliver some of the best live music in Atlanta.
The Weeks @ The Masquerade 5/9/13
With one of the most talked about albums of 2013, (Dear Bo Jackson) The Weeks are hitting the road to support said new album. They roll into Atlanta Thursday night offering up a collection of tunes full of soulful rhythms, country twang, classic Americana and good old rock. Their live shows are rowdy and loud as the bands music infects the crowd drawing them into their musical world. Get their early because this one may get a bit crowded, and bring some ear plugs.
Jullie Gribble @ Kirkwood Spring Fling 5/11/13
More good music will be found at the Kirkwood Spring Fling Festival as Julie Gribble takes the stage. She delivers old fashioned country tunes delivered by her sweet southern vocals. Songs about love and heartbreak litter her catalog and to hear her sing them live is the best way to hear them. There are not many things better in this world than a day spent outside listening to good music.
Zangaro @ Smith’s Olde Bar 5/11/13
Saturday night Vince Zangaro will be releasing a new EP at Smith’s Olde Bar. You can’t really classify Zangaro’s music as he draws from so many influences. The local product has developed a passionate fan base which will be out in full force. Joining him on stage will be guitar slinger Lefty Williams, anytime you get to witness him playing live you need to jump at the chance. New music from Zangaro and Lefty Williams, that is a win/win situation for everybody.
