Celebrating a love of West Coast style and inspired by the unique vibe of American surf culture, the Tommy Hilfiger Group launched the Summer 2013 Surf Shack initiative in North America.
The dynamic program includes a dedicated capsule collection for men and women emphasizing the après-surf lifestyle; limited-edition surfboards designed in collaboration with Art Production Fund (APF) and five contemporary American artists; and the cross continent Surf Shack bus tour and pop-up shop.
“It’s the easy, laid-back vibe of the surf culture and beach life that I find so inspiring,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “Since the 1960s in California when surfing emerged as an American phenomenon, the sport has embraced its own identity in fashion. Surf Shack represents the Tommy Hilfiger brand’s love of blending East Coast prep with West Coast cool.”
Surf Shack Capsule Collection is a specially designed limited- edition capsule collection accompanying the surf-inspired Summer 2013 men’s and women’s Tommy Hilfiger sportswear collections. Featuring easy silhouettes, bold patterns and pops of neon, Surf Shack further celebrates the après-surf lifestyle and gives a laid-back attitude to Tommy Hilfiger’s signature classic, American, cool aesthetic.
