After 3 years of indoor NFL football (INFL)… Solomon Witherspoon graciously put down the football and aggressively picked up a microphone. Solomon is a man of grace, and a man who walks with integrity; he lives by his minister father’s words, “Once a task has begun, never leave it until it’s done. Be it labor, great or small, do it well or not at all.” With his insomnia and his own real life story, he says that ” real music comes from real places.”
In the studio he is prepared to deliver. His creative process comes from preparation which leads to dedication, which is why Solomon began singing back-up with the best: Kip Blackshire and shared stages with two musical icons Prince and Larry Graham. In the past year, Solomon and his band have performed with Bret Michaels, Eric Roberson, Doom Tree, former Prince and Nick Jonas musicians, Three-6 Mafia, and 2012 Grammy-nominated artists Mint Condition. Additionally, Solomon completed his new CD, “Kingdom” with former Prince drummer, Michael Bland.
This man can dance; his dancing skills were recognized with a 1st place in Celebrity Dance Challenge, gaining the People’s Choice and Most Difficult Routine honors.
Solomon is happily married since 2004, with two alluring children. He is one of 11 children of a minister and his wife, and sang in church choir. He is also not a stranger to family tragedy and illness with the deaths of his brother, sister and father, his emotions and empathy are clearly seen in every song he writes and in every conversation he has with a child in need.
His music is perfect for all generations and so are his positive messages, versatility and his broad-based appeal to all ages. His last show he performed the song “Starlight” at an elementary school; this gave him a venue to perform for an entire school and their families. His heart is pure and dedicated to several incredible causes.
SOLOMON is no stranger to chronically and terminally ill children, his charitable heart has offered him an opportunity to be an ambassador for several organizations. His amazing connection with these children and their families has set him apart from many other successful recording artists.Humanitarian Efforts—on Behalf of Children:
• Starlight Children’s Foundation for terminally and chronically ill children and their families and Starbright World Virtual Hangout for Sick Teens (California)
• Children’s Hospitals—part of their Kids Clubhouse performances (Minnesota).
• Samaritan Orphanage Uganda—where most are orphaned because of AIDS (Uganda).
Solomon will be coming to New York shortly. The Rendezvous Radio Show, which is based out of Queens and Long Island has already started playing his music.
