Cincinnati Ohio – Rumpke Mountain Boys have announced their plans to release their next album titled “Moon” on August 9. The quartet is scheduled to hold their CD release party at Headliners Music Hall in Louisville KY that evening, followed by a late night show at Miami Valley Music Festival at the Troy Eagles Campgrounds in Troy OH on August 10.
Founded in Cincinnati Ohio, the group adopted their name from the nearby Rumpke Sanitary Landfill, which is also the highest point of elevation in Hamilton County, dubbing their brand of bluegrass ‘Trashgrass’, as they infuse the improvisational style of the Jamband counterculture with the old fashioned pickin’ of traditional and modern bluegrass. The group is infamous in the festival circuit, known for moving from campsite to campsite picking all night long making them a fan favorite on and off the stage.
In the coming weeks, the group plans to share the stage with Ekoostik Hookah, The Wood Brothers, and moe. at The Ville Festival held at Clay’s Park in North Lawrence Ohio on Labor Day Weekend. Tickets are $100 for Friday-Sunday, $80 Saturday-Sunday, $50 for Sunday only at the gate. Presale pricing offers a $15 discount for the three and two day passes. Ticket prices include admission to the festival and camping in addition to access to Clay’s Parks’ 10 acre man-made water park, water slides, kayaking, miniature golf and sand volleyball courts.
According to the Snugglefest facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/snugglefest) The quartet plans to host their own festival this year on October 4-5, in Terra Alta WV at the Sunshine Daydream Memorial Park. Pricing and lineup is not yet available, details to come at a later date.
