As we get ready to close out the month of July, we look back on Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim that graced South Beach from July 18 through July 22, 2013.
A diverse set of international designers took the swimwear world by the reins and on that final evening at The Raleigh Hotel, Aguaclara Swimwear made us realize just how flattering ravishing swimwear can be.
This pretty Peruvian brand debuted another enticing swimwear/beachwear collection for 2014. Liliana Villalobos works tirelessly to make sure her designs dazzle on the runway and straight to the waterfront. When the Aguaclara brand was created in 1998, the main goal was to access the European and North American markets with just the right touch of Latin flavor. Traveling has spawned a whole new world of design ideas from the riches of the Amazon to the Andes and clear to the ocean.
This latest collection was named ‘Aguas Calientes – Macchu Picchu 2014.’ We were magically flown off to the Peruvian lost city to gaze with wonderlust at the exotic prints and exquisite handmade embroidery. The collection featured 40 pieces of swimwear and beach apparel leaning on fine couture detailing against a backdrop of sophisticated silhouettes. A variety of bikinis, monokinis, maillots, caftans, long silk dresses, jumpsuits and palazzo pants were made for women that know without a doubt what their distinct style is and crave individuality in a routine world. Exotic flowers and animal print textures accompanied by delicate details of golden buttonholes, mother of pearl and fine amber glass accessories round out the eccentric elements of this memorable collection.
Liliana has molded the brand to fit the lifestyle of the world traveler or the feminine female seeking to relax close to home. Aguaclara pieces are exported around the world as far away as Lebanon and Greece or as exotic as Trinidad & Tobago and Portugal.
Aguaclara, the official Miss England swimwear, is also on the cover of such magazines as Ocean Drive and Las Vegas Magazine. The collections are visible in the world-renowned magazines, such as Collezione Beachwear and Diva, among others.
Always standing far ahead of the rest, Aguaclara is the leader company in swimwear in Peru. The company produces more than 15,000 pieces a month, provides jobs for more than 300 people and has 7 boutiques in its native country.
Spice up your life with an Aguaclara swimsuit.
