Real and false are concepts that one has to deal with every day. Something real is akin to something true. False is likened to a lie or deception. It takes exploration and seeking to find out the truth. Lies have a mask and can appear to be very true. Deception tricks the believer into accepting the undercover lie. Truth allows and encourages a rightful decision. Lies may seem helpful, but they can be very destructive, hurtful to another person even society. Truth will bring about real freedom. One must love truth and pursue it. Truth triumphs as lies are destroyed.
The Holy Bible is a book about truth. Jesus states in the Scripture, “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”(John 17:17) He was speaking about believers knowing the truth. Lies and deception are plaguing society. Believers in Christ Jesus have God’s word to unmask what is hidden revealing the truth. The truth about sin is that it destroys lives. Death is the consequence of sin.
Believers must have the understanding that truth protects them from evil. God’s word says, “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place.”(Ephesians 6:14) The truth must be worn for lies to be uncovered. The Holy Spirit is given to lead Christians into all truth. He brings truth (Scripture, Holy Bible) to the believer’s remembrance. Ultimate freedom comes from knowing God’s truth and utilizing the truth.
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)
Destructive Hidden Lies!
Lies and deception can be hidden under the surface. These sins are destructive. The truth is being masked intentionally.
The Bible teaches, ““You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.”(Exodus 20:16)
Truth is the opposite of lies. Truth is found in God’s word. Truth is a spiritual weapon in the Christians’ arsenal. A believer in Christ Jesus should be known for telling the truth. Truth brings the victory!
“Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the Lord from your mouth is the truth.” 1 Kings 17:24
Truth Gives Ultimate Freedom!
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) Truth gives freedom. Ultimate freedom is found in God’s Word, the Holy Bible. Scriptures speak and tell the truth destroying lies and deception.
