Glenn Beck Teaches Part of America’s History Like Never Before Using Guns in NRA Keynote Speech: ‘It Is the Man, Not the Gun’
The 142nd Annual NRA Convention kicked off in Houston this week and Friday’s Leadership Forum featured speeches by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (WATCH) , Governors Rick Perry (WATCH) and Bobby Jindal, Senator Ted Cruz (WATCH) and others.
One of the highlights of Palin’s speech was when she threatened to use chewing tobacco- “Don’t make me do it!”– she joked. And then said her husband Todd had been hunting for the tin of tobacco all morning.
The sold-out venue attracted gun owners, gun rights and Second Amendment advocates from across the nation.
One of the most touching speeches was given by Taya Kyle, widow of the American Sniper, Chris Kyle- who was killed at a gun range. In her emotional speech, she pointed out that guns do not commit acts of evil, people do.
Part of Saturday’s events included honoring the oldest and youngest NRA Lifetime Members– a tradition.
Conservative talk radio host Sean Hannity will be the first man to ever address the Woman’s Luncheon on Saturday- and he was very proud to have been asked to be a part of the festivities. Several months ago, Hannity did an interview award winning professional shooter Jessie Duff, who is also at the convention this weekend..
Likewise, Constitutional attorney, best-selling author and talk show host, Mark Levin addressed the crowd via live remote, praising the NRA in it’s fight for individual liberty. Levin stated that until 18 months ago, he hadn’t owned a gun or ammo and was appreciative of the support the NRA gives law abiding gun owners. He spoke of The Founders and the meaning of The Second Amendment.
Of course, there are countless “ordinary people”- at the NRA Convention. Law abiding citizens who are sick and tired of the media painting them as “Right Wing Extremists” and “Nut Jobs”.
Glenn Beck will be the keynote speaker Saturday. On his TV show on The Blaze last week, he spoke about the NRA and it’s commitment to gun safety
Beck’s latest book is titled “Control”– an affordably priced paperback -that lays out arguments and counter-arguments against Gun Control and The Second Amendment.
