Tour de Cure for the American Diabetes Association is one of the most enduring and trusted charitable works in our country. Toughness Groove is a local apparel and fitness company hoping to improve the health of the citizens in Virginia and beyond. Bringing them together just makes sense. The only problem? They are half a country away from each other. That’s why they are asking for your help.
Saturday, August 3rd, the Tour will be hosting rides of 62, 32, 15, and 5 miles beginning at the Texas Motor Speedway. Their goal is to raise over $500,000, and they have gathered over 1,000 riders from the Dallas/Fort Worth area to raise support and ride towards that milestone.
Paul Duncan, retired US Air Force and Toughness Groove co-founder, lives in the Dallas area and is raising support. He is asking help not for himself, but to raise money towards fighting diabetes.
When asked why he was biking he said, “My father passed last year and was diabetic. I loved him very much, and I know he would want to help fight diabetes. This one is for Sam.”
Paul will be part of the 62 mile team and is nearly 3/4’s of the way towards his goal of $2,000. If you would like to contribute, you can make donations and pledges to Paul’s Tour page here.
