Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort opened its new Senses – A Disney Spa on July 25. The two-story, full-service spa and fitness center expands the number of saloon and fitness locations available at the Walt Disney World at several of its deluxe resorts.
Senses at Saratoga Springs Resort offers a range of treatments and amenities. It features 10 treatment rooms in its redesigned space, providing a range of therapeutic services such as water therapy, massage and facials. The spa also offers a steam room, manicure and pedicure stations and a couple’s room.
This Senses is designed to complement the theming of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, which suggests a vacation in the natural springs of upstate New York. In addition to an emphasis on water and water features that evoke the springs themselves, the spa’s materials brings the outdoors in with such materials as natural stone, pebbles and woodwork from floor to ceiling.
Walt Disney Imagineers enhanced the spa’s visual and aural appeal by adding such details as a hummingbird motif, Native American artwork, wood carvings, soft amber lighting and soothing water sounds.
The design for Senses is intended to “connect with the earth and speak to the serenity and tranquility associated with nature,” said Ginger Mclean, spa director, in a media statement.
The sensory-rich environment extends to the available treatments, designed to engage with the spa’s core themes: relax, renew and imagine. Massage options range from, an incomplete list, Swedish and warm stone to reflexology and sports; body-specific, pregnancy and “a massage for two” options are also available. Senses Spa also offers hand and foot treatments, body therapies, packages and a number of signature treatments.
Current signature treatments for Senses – A Disney Spa include:

The first is located at the Grand Floridian Resort and opened in December 2012 with 15 treatment rooms. Disney also owns and manages other spas and fitness centers at the Orlando-area resort. Interested guests should call 407-WDW-SPAS to book a treatment at either spa.
