My poor eyes have been through so much within the past few weeks. Due to a minor eye infection my means of vision have changed from the plopping in and plopping out of my contacts every day, to sliding on a pair of glasses. Now most people are thinking okay the eye infection is annoying, but the real annoyance are the glasses! I was “that” child who risked walking into trees, calling people the wrong name, and getting into the wrong family car all in order to avoid wearing something on my face that made me look dorky. High school came and the chance to finally switch to contacts changed my life forever. Three eye infections later (not to shabby for my contact wear history), I’ve finally come to the realization that me and these things called glasses are going to be reacquainted from time to time. So I decided I might as well find a pair that look good and make me feel good wearing them.
Browsing through the web I came across a site that was different from anything else on the market. They’re concept is as unique as their frames. Warby Parker sells prescription and non-prescription vintage inspired fashionable frames at a more than affordable price. Their site offers a sense of exclusivity, allowing you to feel as though you’re shopping at a soho boutique. It’s chic, yet understated, and has an inviting vibe.
It’s quite simple. Prescription or not, you’re able to browse their site of endless and limited edition frames and once you’ve picked out a few that you like you get 5 pairs to try on for 5 days. Oh, and that’s all free! You only pay for them if you decide on selecting a pair, or two, or heck all of them. After all a girl’s got to have options. If you have a prescription the process is the same , the only added step is sending in your prescription. Warby Parker glasses are made with high-quality polycarbonate lenses that include anti-scratch and anti-glare coatings, ensuring the longevity of your glasses. All this is offered at the mere price of $95. A bargain compared to what you would pay at an eye office. Did I forget to mention they sell glasses for both men and women? Well they do that too. They even offer selections based on your face shape.
Eye glasses aren’t what they used to be anymore, with more and more people wearing in fashion prescription glasses, the days of dorky glasses are a thing of the past. Get ready to say bye-bye to your eye doctor (after you get the prescription) and their boring frame choices, and head on over to Warby Parker to have the most fabulously chic frames your face will ever meet.
