Ubisoft released a Watch Dogs trailer Tuesday meant to introduce Archer actress and comedienne, Aisha Tyler, as a non-playable character in the upcoming PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC open-world title. Instead, it raised some cackles among gamers for some surprisingly rough graphics following more stellar footage in the past. Creative Director Jonathan Morin explained that the fuzzy looking footage was caused by a software mistake.
At first glance, the visual fidelity of the trailer suggests that the Watch Dogs footage was captured for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. While Morin seemingly admits to the poor quality while saying that it was caused by a technician checking in the wrong stuff when the trailer was made.
“You know sometimes 100s of people working together causes communications issues lets just say that,” Morin explained.
“No worry to have on graphics at all, believe me,” Morin said in answer to a question on Twitter. “Love your passion guys but I see the game every day and I can tell you, this trailer is far from it.”
