SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment is once again rolling out its military free admission program. Waves of Honor, the company’s tribute to the men and women of the U.S. armed services, gives free admission to SeaWorld Parks to members of the U.S. armed forces and three of their direct dependents through the end of 2013.
Waves of Honor gives one complimentary admission per year to one of the SeaWorld company’s parks, which includes Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Sesame Place and Water Country USA, for the service member and up to three of his or her direct dependents.
“It has always been our honor to host members of the military and their families at our parks each year,” said Jim Atchison, President and CEO of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. “Waves of Honor is our way to say ‘thank you’ to these dedicated service men and women who sacrifice so much to preserve the freedom we share in this country.”
SeaWorld and Busch Gardens’ free military admission program is open to any active-duty military, activated or drilling reservists or National Guardsman from any of the five military branches. He or she can register online at www.wavesofhonor.com or in the entrance plaza of a participating park.
Valid active military identification must be shown. All dependents age 10 and older must present a valid military dependent ID for entry into the park. Dependents may take advantage of this offer without the service member, but an adult must accompany minor dependents.
Created in 2001, SeaWorld’s military salute program has awarded more than 6.7 million theme park tickets to military members and their families. The program was previously called Here’s to the Heroes.
