Calling all urban yogis! Whether you are looking to start off the summer with a yoga celebration in Times Square or to say farewell to the season with a sun salutation, there is an event waiting for you. New York City celebrates yoga everyday but in the summer takes special advantage of the warm weather with well-planned unique outdoor practices. So what 2013 yoga event will you be attending?
Solstice in Times Square: Athleta Mind Over Madness Yoga is taking place again this year on Friday June 21, 2013 on Broadway between 42nd and 47th streets. Thousands of yogis will gather at the Crossroads of the World on the longest day of the year to celebrate the sun and summer.
Registration is now open for the Solstice in Times Square yoga event with five free outdoor classes. The first 1,200 to arrive at each class will receive a free Athleta yoga mat and a Solstice gift bag, so it’s a good idea to get there on time. The 2013 yoga class schedule is as follows.
