I have something in my hands that is a wonderful piece of literature or literary work that stands the test of time, because its Author is Divine. It is the Holy Bible : King James Version. I believe the book from Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” to Revelation 22:21, “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”, and every verse between these two verses excluding the Apocrypha.
The Holy Bible is high above all other books as the heavens are above the Earth. I believe by faith in my heart that the Holy Bible, (King James Version) is the Word of God, which instills virtues such as patience, temperance (self control), brotherly kindness, charity (love), gentleness, and meekness. The Holy Bible reads you as you read the book : “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
Faith is built by reading this Divine book, “So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17). In II Peter 3:18 , we are to grow, after salvation, in the knowledge we get from the Lord Jesus Christ and His written Word, “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.“
Our faith grows when life experiences comes our way. Fears and worries tear at our faith, but confidence in God’s precious promises in the Word of God, builds our faith. When things go wrong our flesh has a tendency to takeover. We feel our lowest when troubles come our way. We can only overcome these fears by the Word of God. The Holy Bible can be philosophical, but is not a book of philosophy. The book of Proverbs has a lot of philosophical sayings that were penned by Solomon and other writers through the inspiration of God (II Timothy 3:16). One such Scripture in Proverbs tells us what we think in our heart makes the man or woman. “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: (Proverbs 23: 7a). The book of Proverbs is a poetic book of Divine sayings of wisdom applied to the earthly conditions of the people of God.
The Holy Bible helps me become a dynamic servant of God, because I am what I think. God did not call me to a life of failure, but to a life of success through Him. This being said, I cannot fail as long as I do His will, allowing Him to work in and through me, motivating my every thought. Because my God is a big God, I will think big with confidence, knowing my thoughts can never be bigger than God. Money wealth does not determine success, but the wealth of wisdom in the Word of God does.
The Holy Bible is a work of beauty. It is a work of art that helps the Christian to change his or her life-style. It relates to a totality of human concerns, such as from being guilty to not guilty, from death to life, from darkness to light, from hatred to love, from weakness to power, from bondage to freedom, from tribulation to triumph, from grief to joy, from gloom to glory, from defeat to victory, from failure to success, from fear to faith, from I can’t to I can. Today, I will think as the apostle Paul thought when he said, ” I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13)
Someone has said of the Holy Bible : “Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be right.“
