The WWE may be overseas on tour, but that doesn’t mean they can’t put on “Monday Night Raw,” and that’s exactly what happened on July 29, 2013. All the superstars were in attendance to battle it out and prepare for the road to “SummerSlam” which is a mere few weeks away now.
Here is the full recap and all the results for WWE “Monday Night Raw” so don’t keep reading if you haven’t seen it yet.
~ Vince McMahon comes out with Brad Maddox to start the night and the boss says he really doesn’t want John Cena or Daniel Bryan to win at “SummerSlam.” This brings out Bryan who plays to the crowd and gets them all riled up.
~ The Shield defeated Mark Henry and the Usos after Dean Ambrose hit Jimmy Uso with the bulldog driver for the win. This was a fun match and good stuff from both teams. After it was over, Henry destroyed The Shield.
~ Rob Van Dam defeated Fandango by countout. RVD was going for a five-star frogsplash, but Fandango rolled out of the ring and just left. They really appear to have no clue what to do with RVD. Still, wasn’t a bad match while it lasted.
~ Kaitlyn defeated AJ Lee in a non-title match and it was alright. Dolph Ziggler came out afterward and challenged Big E Langston to a match.
~ Christian is getting the mega-push as he defeated World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio in a non-title match. This was a great match and it would be a great set-up for a title match at the PPV.
~ Cody Rhodes had no real problem in defeating Wade Barrett. After the match, Damien Sandow came out to cut a promo on Rhodes about he is better than him and is the rightful owner of the briefcase.
~ Daniel Bryan faced off with his friend Kane, and pulled off the win by reversing a chokeslam attempt into a roll-up. Kane then chokeslammed Bryan after the match to knock him out. Out comes the Wyatt Family to beat down Kane and listen to Bray Wyatt deliver another awesome promo.
~ Brie Bella beat Natalya in a nothing match.
~ Intercontinental champion Curtis Axel easily defeated R-Truth. After the match, CM Punk comes out as Paul Heyman runs away. Axel ended up getting a beatdown from Punk.
~ In the main event, John Cena defeated Ryback in a tables match. When it was over, Daniel Bryan ran down and simply handed the WWE title to Cena saying it would be his and chanted “YES!” with the crowd. Cena took his belt and stared down Bryan to end the show.
