Kimberlynn Bolanos, 21, was charged with one count of first-degree murder on May 31 in Thursday’s stabbing death of her of 5-month-old baby boy, Issac Bolanos, at the Diplomat Motel in Lincoln Square in Chicago’s North Side.
The Sun-Times reported that the homicide is being investigated as a possible murder-suicide attempt.
Authorities summoned to the motel about 10:30 a.m. found both mother and son with severe stab wounds, authorities said.
The mother, Kimberlynn Bolanos, sustained serious self-inflicted stab wounds and will not be appearing in court until she’s released from the hospital. She’s listed as being in critical condition.
A woman working the front desk says she called 911 when a man came crying to her saying his son had been killed.
